Yes, Ubiscore only scans public websites and publically available data, completely non-intrusive and only if someone actively enters a URL. It’s similar to a person just visiting the website except a so called “robot” does it, similar to Google’s search robots. We talked to different lawyers and in their opinion such public scans that do not go beyond any kind of security mechanism (e.g. login) are not in violation of computer and/or criminal code (e.g. German criminal code §202a, 202b StGB).
